Adult Bible Fellowships

Bible Fellowships are mid-sized classes which combine both “Bible” and “Fellowship.”
Classes meet on Sunday mornings after worship service. The current semester offerings are listed below. Come and join us in growing deeper in "knowledge and depth of insight" (Philippians 1:9)!

Bible Fellowships start on January 8, 2012!  Please join us for one of the following classes:

ENGAGE: Head, Heart and Hands in Global Missions (Micah A - Speakers will change weekly)
Engage-Win-Transform! That's our task as individuals and as a church. This course will focus on Global Missions and how we can be a part of God's work throughout the world. There will be a variety of speakers and missionaries who will lead various discussions on key movements and issues regarding missions. Our first speakers are Brian and Patti Nelson who reach out to Hindus in England.

Going through Jeremiah & Lamentations (Micah B - Taught by Bill Taylor)

As the nation of Israel went downhill politically, militarily, morally, how did Jeremiah bring responsibility and redemption to the people God loved? Come to the Jeremiah/Lamentations ABF and see!

1 John: A Call to the Basics of Christian Life (Micah C - Taught by Bill Stevenson)
John reminds believers of three basics in the Christian life: true doctrine, obedient living, and fervent devotion. He urges the reader to examine and "refine their theological understanding, sharpen their ethical rigor, and increase their devotional intensity" in response to a growing movement that challenges the influence of faith, replacing it with a reliance of knowledge.

Overview of the Bible (Micah D - Taught by Pastoral Intern Adam Darbonne)
The entire Bible in 12 weeks?! AHH! In this class we will explore how 66 separate books unite to tell God's grand story of redemption. We will focus on how God moves the larger narrative from the fall of man to salvation but will also discuss things like historical context and literary development. This class is perfect for people frustrated, confused or intimidated by the Bible or for people who just want to get more out of a personal reading of God's word!

Exodus and the Bible (Micah E - Taught by Kevin Chau)
Our class examines the book of Exodus as narrative and legal material and how other portions of the Bible reappropriates the Exodus story. Come and see how God's story in the deliverance of the Hebrew people from Egypt has become our story.

Acts Manuscript Study (Room 153 - Taught by Mark Finley & Mark Cooper)
Manuscript Bible Study is an in-depth, interactive study of Biblical text designed to discover and understand what God is saying through his Word, and how it applies to our lives.
