Volunteer Tutors Needed
Schools of Hope is looking for volunteers (especially Spanish-speaking) to tutor at Cherokee Middle School and other schools in Madison. Schools of Hope is a tutor program that strives to reduce the gap in academic achievement between African-American, Latino, and Southeast Asian students and their white counterparts in the Madison schools. Tutors will meet with students one-on-one or in small groups at least once a week. If you are interested in becoming a tutor please email or call Julie Preisler at 608-204-1274, julie.preisler@gmail.com.
