Hometown Nazareth: Where Jesus was a Kid Vacation Bible School June 20-24, 2011 Registration is CLOSED. Please pray for the kids this week as they attend VBS!
The Marketplace will be buzzing with activity and everyone talking in excitement about Jesus, you know, the kid who grew up here. How could anyone from this small place be God’s own Son? Seriously.
Each evening kids and adults will gather for a brief time of music at Celebration, before joining their Nazareth Families for small group interaction. During our family time, Nazareth Families will get ready to step back in time by looking at their “travel itinerary.” Each day we’ll look for the daily Bible Point throughout Nazareth.
We’ll visit Mary, you know, Jesus’ mom at her house. We might even meet some old family friends... We’ll get to try some tasty treats at Nazareth’s market, try out carpentry, and maybe even create a one-of-a-kind batik fabric. The games back then were so fun! We’ll play those, too!
Each day will end with family time where kids and adults connect their experiences in “Nazareth” to their modern-day lives at home. They’ll discuss how they experience God’s love, what it means to them, and how they can share that love with others.
