Wednesdays at 6:30 a.m. in Micah E. Every Wednesday morning men gather for prayer and Bible study. Please join us!Starting in December, our study will be FAITH: Its Meaning and Heroes, its Feats and Defeats, in Hard Times and Contemporary Culture.
This extensive study is also intensive, highly focused solely on stories and implications of faith, specifically the “Hall of Faith” chapter in Scripture, aka Hebrews 11. This “great cloud of witnesses” will encourage us to grow in our own faith walk and witness to still others to that faith. As our faith story becomes intertwined with Bible characters, so also our faith stories will be told through table talk and group sharing with each other. Such stories of faith will adorn the walls of our mind, to encourage us, much as we line the walls of mind, home and office with family photos and inspirational quotes.
Bring your open Bible, an open heart and an open mind. We will follow these characters not only in Hebrews 11 but also in their respective Old Testament context or “back story” that correlates with each character named and referenced in Hebrews 11. Thus we will understand and appreciate the unity of Scripture and learn how Scripture interprets Scripture. We may also compare these biblical examples with contemporary profiles in TV shows (anyone watch the new “V” series, Tuesday nights, 7pm, ABC?), in movies, and in classic books (e.g., Foxe’s Book of Martyrs, Pilgrim’s Progress).Men's Monthly Breakfast
Second Saturday of the month at 7:30 a.m. in Micah E. Join other brothers for a great time of food and fellowship. Annual Chili Cook-off/No Regrets Weekend
No Regrets is a Wisconsin-statewide men’s conference, started in 1994, designed to create an environment for men to be challenged in their relationship with the Lord at home, in the workplace, and in their ministry. It is held the first Saturday in February at Elmbrook & Westbrook Churches in suburban Milwaukee. Visit www.noregretsconference.org for more info.
On February 5, the night preceding No Regrets, HPC men will gather to cook and taste some of the wildest local Chili at the annual HPC Chili Cook off. We taste chili, sing some hymns and choruses and listen to a “preview No Regrets” message. Join us from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m.!Also check out these pages for more opportunities.Adult Education
