Care Ministries

HPC is a caring community. Here are a few ways we reach out to those in need.
 
Pastoral Care
Do you need to talk to someone about your spiritual life or situation? Call the church office at 836-3236 to set up an appointment with a pastor.

Prayer
Sunday Morning Prayer
The Prayer Room is open at 8:00 a.m. Sunday mornings for those who are able to pray together for the needs of High Point Church.

HPC Communal Prayer
The Elder Board leads the congregation in communal prayer on Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Come and seek the Lord’s face together with the Elders as we move forward in ministry at High Point Church.

Emergency Prayer Requests
For those who have emergency prayer needs during non-office hours, the Prayer Chain can be activated by calling Phyllis Porter at 274-5678. Please be sure to leave your name and telephone number, and the Director of the Prayer Chain will return your call as soon as possible to confirm your request and answer your questions. As you specify, your need will be shared with compassionate Intercessors who will guard the confidentiality of your request as they pray for your need.

Funerals
If you are in need of a church for funeral services, please call our church office, 836-3236. We will walk alongside you on this road.

Divorce Care & Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K)
The pain people feel going through separation and divorce can be both overwhelming and devastating. People who understand those feelings lead Divorce Care, a 13-week support group in an interactive seminar format. You’ll learn how to deal with the pain of your past and look forward to rebuilding your life. DC meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.



Likewise, children hurting because their parents are separated or divorced can also find help at Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K). DC4K is aimed at children, ages 5 - 12, and usually meets at the same time as DC on Wednesday evenings. However, DC4K is taking a break right now to locate more leaders with no starting date available yet.  Check back periodically to see when the next DC4K 13-week session is scheduled for.

Revive! Special Needs Respite
Revive! Special Needs Respite is a Saturday morning once per month for families of special needs kids to take some time for themselves. Contact Kathleen Shrader at 836-3236 x129 or via email at kshrader@highpointchurch.org for more information or to register.


Helping Hands Outreach Ministry
High Point is joining forces with West Madison Bible Church in their Helping Hands Outreach Ministry.  "HHOM" affords people an opportunity to choose foods and clothing items for their family. The food pantry is self serve with volunteers helping their neighbors. "HHOM" is our volunteers working together with others to make a positive, lasting difference by providing emergency care, extended care, access to social services, and a Christian witness to all in need.
